SOL’s clients – and heroes – are Olympic athletes and weekend warriors of all ages who strive to jump a little higher, run a little faster, and walk a little taller. They are also veterans recovering from acute or chronic conditions, workers recovering from on-the-job injuries, eighty year-olds breaking records in their eighties, parents trying to keep up with young children, and folks of all walks-of-life in between.
At SOL Physical Therapy + Performance, we believe that everyone is – and can be- an athlete. We also believe in movement for life so every service SOL provides is designed to help you achieve the types of movement that will help you feel good for life. Our scientific approach to healing combined with our human-centered approach to care ensures you learn everything you’ll need to transform, renew and surpass your own perceived limitations!
Active Release Technique® (ART) is a specialized soft tissue intervention which effectively minimizes the development of scar tissue and adhesions that follow injury. Scarring and tissue adhesions that occur in the soft tissue of the body can lead to pain, weakness, immobility, and generalized dysfunction – all of which are addressed through the use of the specialized ART approach.
You may have seen some of the world’s most elite athletes hanging out between competitions and practices in a pair of space age-looking boots. They’re not the latest in athleisure but rather a recovery method. The thigh-high sleeves provide intermittent pneumatic compression — a therapeutic, controlled pressure cycle to the limbs — for the purpose of reviving the legs for their next performance.
What’ the difference between mobility and flexibility? A person with great mobility is able to perform functional movement patterns with no restrictions in the range of motion (ROM) of those movements while a flexible person may or may not have the core strength, balance, or coordination to perform the same functional movements. At SOL Physical Therapy + Performance, our award-winning Functional Rehabilitation program is designed to help you maximize both mobility and flexibility so you can move at the optimal level of your potential!
